Election Talk

Wow,

I have a Facebook account. I notice all my Facebook friends have been going off for weeks about Obama in Facebook It's a total love fest and it scares me. I usually try to avoid polictical talk at work, home, or anywhere because I am passionate about it. In this case I felt all the comments were so one sided that I had to comment.

I posted a Facebook status that said "I am worried about next Tuesday because I don't want the terrorist collaborator to win." Only stating facts.

Suddenly I get ganged up on. Everyone is responding to the post like I'm some kind of radical.
Why is it that I could say anything negative about McCain or Palin and people cheer. Whatever you do, don't take the newly annointed Lord of America's name in vain.

Honestly I am truly concerned about having a goverment completely controlled by any one party. Who's going to keep the Congress in check if not the President and vica versa.

I know what you mean Anonymous. Those Obama supporters can really get whipped up! jk

I want you to know that I am not a political animal and I consider myself a moderate, disagreeing with many stances taken by both major parties.

The fact is that I'm taking a serious beating for this and I feel I have to respond to you.

I feel that I have a legitimate concern. I didn't say anything that hasn't been stated by media outlets. For that matter, it was discussed during the last presidential debate.

Just do a Google search for "Obama Associates".

I never said Obama is a terrorist. I only said he collaborates with them.

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) -
col·lab·o·rate /
–verb
to work, one with another; cooperate, as on a literary work: They collaborated on a novel.

My opinion is that many supporters of Obama are not willing to discuss the issues rationally. When a question is raised they respond with anger and outrage. How dare I question such a great man?

Based on his past history, voting record, and lack of transparency, I think he is a hollow candidate.

By the way, I am afraid.

Well, James, just another attempt at squashing your First Amendment rights. That's what the liberals do. Whine and cry when they don't get their way, citing a violation of their First Amendment rights. Then they'll turn around and use their First Amendment right to critize the Second Amendment. It's whatever suits them for that moment in time. You just keep on stating your opinion, before Obama takes that away too. And you should fight the Facebook Police as well. Public forums are public forums. Period.
